With every treatment, I begin by addressing the tight muscles and getting them to relax or at least be more relaxed. I address both the muscles and then the vertebra or the top level and the deeper level.
I have found that when the muscles, and the person, is more relaxed the treatments are more effective and that “correction” can come on much quicker and lasts much longer. I, may, end the session with stretches and ensure that you know how to do these stretches, at home. I perform a mechanical massage and then will adjust the involved vertebra, on everyone who comes in for care. I primarily manually adjust, although I do have and occasionally utilize an adjusting instrument, “Activator” for those who prefer not to hear “the pop.”
I may also utilize Flexion Distraction, the original “Spinal Decompression,” which is designed to treat the discs and vertebra within the lower back.
